Energy frontier article in CERN Courier!

The figure and issue of the CERN courier.

One of my recent studies, detailing the first heavy ion measurement of the LHC Run 3 era, has been featured in an energy frontiers articles in the January/February 2024 issue of the CERN Courier! In this analysis, we examined the densities of charged hadrons produced in lead-lead collisions at a world-record collision energy of 5.36 TeV. We found that the densities follow a trend that was predicted from previous measurements at lower collision energies, but that various models of heavy ion collisions still have a difficult time describing some aspects of the data. You can read the CERN Courier article (page 16) or our preliminary write up for more information.
